This rich tea is grown in North-East India in the upper Brahmaputra valley on the Borengajuli Estate. It is a second flush (picking) G.F.B.O.P. grade, these initials stand for Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe. The powerful, coloury brew is malty in character with suggestions of burnt strawberry jam. A tea drinker’s tea, the dry leaf shows a mix of black leaves against bright golden “tip”, a hallmark of quality.
